Privacy Policy

General Information and Mandatory Disclosures

Responsible Entity

The responsible entity for data processing on this website is:

Katharina Vlcek, Am Eich 9d, 22113 Oststeinbek, Germany

Email: [email protected]

The responsible entity decides alone or jointly with others on the purposes and means of processing personal data (e.g., names, contact details, etc.).

Some data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can revoke consent you have already given at any time. An informal message by email is sufficient for the revocation. The legality of the data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

Right to Lodge a Complaint with the Competent Supervisory Authority

In the event of a data protection violation, the data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. The competent supervisory authority regarding data protection matters is the state data protection officer of the federal state in which our company is headquartered.

Right to Data Portability

You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party. The data is provided in a machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done insofar as it is technically feasible.

Right to Information, Correction, Blocking, Deletion

You have the right at any time, within the framework of applicable law, to obtain free information about your stored personal data, the origin of the data, its recipients, and the purpose of data processing, and, if applicable, a right to correction, blocking, or deletion of this data.

SSL/TLS Encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content that you send to us as the site operator, our website uses SSL/TLS encryption. This means that data you transmit via this website cannot be read by third parties. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the “https://” address bar of your browser and the lock symbol in the browser bar.

Hosting

Collected Data

If you neither register nor log in as a visitor, we collect the following data in so-called log files, which your browser transmits: IP address, date and time of the request, time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time, content of the request, HTTP status code, amount of data transferred, website from which the request originated, and information about the browser and operating system. This is necessary to display our website and to ensure stability and security. This corresponds to our legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.

Website Host

We use the following host to make our website available: Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. This party is the recipient of your personal data and acts as a processor for us. This corresponds to our legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR, in not having to maintain a server on our own premises. Cloudflare also processes data in the USA. An adequate level of data protection is ensured through EU standard contractual clauses.

You have the right to object to the processing. Whether the objection is successful is to be determined within the framework of a balancing of interests. The processing of the data specified in this section is neither legally nor contractually required. The functionality of the website is not guaranteed without the processing.

Web Analytics with Umami

This website uses Umami, a privacy-friendly, open-source web analytics tool. Umami is self-hosted on our own infrastructure (umi.byndsim.com). Umami collects no personal data, sets no cookies, and stores no IP addresses. Only anonymized, aggregated usage data is collected, such as pages visited, time spent, and interactions (button clicks, book browsing). It is not possible to attribute this data to individual persons.

The use of Umami is based on our legitimate interest in analyzing and optimizing our website pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Since Umami does not process personal data and does not set cookies, consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR is not required.

Fonts (Self-Hosting)

This website uses the “Perfektta” typeface as a self-hosted web font file. The font files are loaded directly from our server — no connection to external services (such as Google Fonts) is established and no data is shared with third parties for the purpose of font integration.

Email or Phone

If you contact us by email or telephone, your inquiry including all personal data provided (name, inquiry) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We will not share this data without your consent. The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR if your inquiry is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of inquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR), if obtained; consent may be revoked at any time.

BeyondSimulations

We use the support of BeyondSimulations GmbH, registered at Am Eich 9d, 22113 Oststeinbek, for the creation and analysis of our web content and data. This enables us to better design our website, support the protection of data against third parties, and improve customer outreach. The use is based on our legitimate interests, i.e., ensuring the stability and security of the website, evaluating system security and stability, optimizing the website, and verifying whether unlawful use has occurred, pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

You may revoke your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time. Revocation can be made via the contact options stated above. Your data will be stored for as long as necessary for the described purposes. Further information can be found at https://beyondsimulations.com/privacy/.
